From the picture-perfect Sheen Falls Lodge on the banks of the beautiful River Sheen, explore the green valleys of the Emerald Isle with Sean Kelly and Nico Roche. Sean has won a record seven consecutive editions of Paris-Nice, la Vuelta a Espana in 1988 and four Green jerseys in the Tour de France. Nico Roche has twice been Irish National Champion, has achieved 65 top ten finishes in Grand Tours and comes from a family of cycling royalty as Stephen Roche's son and Dan Martin's cousin. Riding with two of Ireland's greatest-ever cyclists will surely build up an appetite and that's where Ross Lewis steps in. The Cork-born former head chef at Chapter One in Dublin brings his Michelin-starred skills to County Kerry to create a menu filled with the flavours of this bucolic pastoral area.
OUR BASE
Sheen Falls Lodge dates back to the 17th century, when it was a hunting lodge loved by Oliver Cromwell, and is a magical estate nestled in viridescent woodland on the banks of Kenmare Bay and the River Sheen. With activities such as fishing, horse riding, archery, falconry and paddle-boarding, it truly is a country retreat for the 21st century. Historic features dot the 300 acre plot perfectly situated between the famous Ring of Kerry and the lesser known but equally awe inspiring Ring of Beara.
