DESTINATION

OUR BASE

CAMERON HOUSE

Having played host to Winston Churchill, Samuel Johnson and Princess Margaret, Cameron House traces its roots back to the 18th century with later 19th-century additions. It holds a variety of accommodations within the grounds, providing everything from the traditional luxury of the Auld House, situated in the Baronial mansion, to the modern Zen living of the Signature Suites. The name Cameron comes from Cam Sron, or 'Crooked Nose', referring to the strip of land that Cameron House stands on, jutting out into Loch Lomond like a nose on a face. There has been a dwelling on this waterside land since the 1400's and from 1763 it was the home of the Smollett family for well over two centuries. Towards the end of this tenure from 1972 to 1986, the grounds hosted a Bear Safari park with sixteen Himalayan black bears and twelve European Brown bears! The estate holds two Golf Courses, the tricky 9 hole 'Wee Demon', and The Carrick Golf Course, a stunning 18 hole course which has been the site of the Ladies Scottish Open, the PGA Cup and the Europro Tour. If Golf is too sedate for you, you could take part in one of the 4x4 Jeep adventures, speed boating or jet skiing, or even a tour of the Loch in a seaplane – All of which is available within the beautiful grounds of the hotel for you to enjoy in your free time.

RIDING

JOYRIDE THROUGH LOCH LOMOND

Pedal alongside a man who needs no introduction, six-time Olympic gold medal winner and LeBlanq legend Sir Chris Hoy as you take in the stunning mountain passes, lochside vistas and quiet rolling roads. Our LeBlanq Scotland joyride will take in the stunning Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, starting point of the Women's UCI World Road Race, as well as the nearby Aberfoyle – famous for its appearances in Scottish literature and folklore. Taking in a plethora of beautiful lochs throughout the region, our guests will be awed and inspired by the pine forest-lined passes over Munros and glens.

DINING

A TASTE OF THE SCOTTISH WILDERNESS

From home-grown Scottish beef and dairy to locally sourced chillis, The Trossachs National Park is home to a multitude of artisanal produce. With recipes passed down through generations and modern spins on Scottish classics, our culinary journey will take you from comforting favourites such as shortbread and haggis to a Michelin-starred taste of the wild using local ingredients, from oysters to handcrafted smoked salmon caught in the famous Loch Fyne, all to be savoured with a glass of the region’s finest whisky, InchDairnie RyeLaw.
