IBIZA FAQS

I’ve already booked, could I still bring a partner or friend to share my room?

We're not taking any further bookings as the weekend is fully booked.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE EVENT IS CANCELLED OR POSTPONED?

If the event is cancelled then you are entitled to a full refund.

If the event is postponed, we will offer you a 14 day cooling off period once the new dates have been announced. If that date doesn’t work, we will offer to transfer your booking to another LeBlanq event and if there are no suitable alternatives then we will grant a full refund.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY TRIP?

Should you change your mind, you have a 14 day cooling off period from the date of booking to claim back your deposit. Following the 14 days please refer to our cancellation policy

Can I arrive earlier/leave later?

Absolutely!  Extend your trip and enjoy everything Ibiza has to offer.  You can contact Hotel Riomar directly via bookings@hotelriomar.com and book with our special LeBlanq room rate, subject to availability.

Is travel to and from the weekend part of the package?

Travel is not included in your package.  However, we will be organising group airport transfers for guests who arrive on 20th October and depart from Ibiza on 23rd October. These transfers will be organised at informed, set times. The airport is 20-25 minutes from the venue.

Can I drive to the hotel?

Yes, you can drive. Please let us know so we can organise parking (at a daily rate, payable locally).

Will you transport my bike from the airport to the hotel?

We will transfer your bike from and to the airport at informed set times. If you are arriving outside the set transfer times you will have to arrange this independently.

WHAT IF MY FLIGHT IS DELAYED?

Please inform the LeBlanq team of the delay and arrangements will be made to adapt your arrival. You will be given a contact number in the Guest Itinerary to call or message.

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY LUGGAGE IS LOST OR DELAYED?

We suggest you carry some key essentials in your cabin bag, such as your bike shoes, a change of clothes, bib shorts and swimwear so your weekend is not affected. If necessary, the LeBlanq team will arrange to pick up the delayed luggage from the airport and bring it to the hotel.

DO I NEED BIKE INSURANCE?

We will have a secure storage area, but you should still have your bike insured. For bike insurance we recommend Yellow Jersey Bike Insurance.

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY BIKE IS LOST OR DELAYED BY THE AIRLINE?

Hopefully this won’t happen but we have a fleet of Specialized Aethos bikes. Should a bike not be available in your size, you will be able to hire a bike from an approved local retailer.

Should I bring my bike?

We recommend that you do bring your bike. If you have arranged alternative bike hire, please ensure you bring your pedals and bike measurements for a quick bike set-up.

DO I NEED TO BRING ANYTHING FOR THE RIDES?

As part of your riding package you will be given a LeBlanq Rapha team kit, which includes a jersey, gilet and cap, so please bring any additional kit you may require including your own shorts, (black ideally) helmet, shoes and suitable clothing for all weather conditions, including waterproof covers for your shoes. Our nutrition partner Veloforte will provide you with fuel for all the rides and you can refill your water bottles during the rides.

Do I need to bring CO2 canisters, as I can’t fly with them?

No, we will have bike pumps and CO2 canisters in all following support cars.

Is there an opportunity to do gravel riding?

Due to minimal interest in gravel riding over the weekend, all curated rides will be on roads suitable for road bikes.

BIKE PREPARATION

In order for you to have the best joyriding experience, before you come, please check your chain, brakes, brake pads, and tyres are in good riding condition. We can't emphasise enough the importance and won't allow you to ride an unsafe bike. We suggest a bike service if you’ve not had one for a while. Click here for Sigma Sports Bike services. Our mechanics will be on hand should you get a puncture, but please bring spare inner tubes and specific tools with you and ensure your Di2 has enough charge. We will have a Di2 charger.

What pedals do you provide with the hire bikes?

Please bring your own set of pedals to be fitted to the bike, so that you can be confident with the set up and match for your cleats/biking shoes.

DO I NEED TO BRING A BIKE COMPUTER ?

It’s not necessary to have a bike computer as all rides are non-drop, each group is led by ride leaders and following support cars. However, for those of you who normally ride with a bike computer, please bring it along and don't forget to pack your charger.

WILL YOU BE PROVIDING GPX FILES FOR THE ROUTES WE WILL RIDE?

We will be sending you the GPX files for the routes we will ride in the week before the event takes place.  We use Strava and will provide you with simple to follow instructions on how to download them to your GPX device. If you are not used to downloading GPX files, then we’d suggest you do this in advance of arriving in Ibiza. If you are still struggling on arrival in Ibiza, then our team will be on hand to help you out.

WHAT WILL I NEED TO TAKE WITH ME ON THE BIKE?

Just you! A working rear light is advisable for the more shaded parts of the route. Bike pumps, spare inner tubes, water, nutrition, sun tan lotion will be in all support cars.

DO I NEED TO BRING MY OWN ENERGY GELS AND HYDRATION TABLETS?

Veloforte will be providing nutrition for all the rides, there will be plenty available for you in the support cars. Bottles and your pockets can be topped up at the pit stops.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I'M SHOWING SIGNS OF COVID?

We would prefer that you didn’t attend the event and we will transfer your booking to next year.

Is the event English speaking?

Even though we are in Ibiza, this will be an English speaking event.

GROUP SIZE

All rides will have a ride leader and support car. If you're not used to riding in a group, please let us know. Group size will be restricted to ensure we don’t impact on other road users and make your experience the best possible one.

RIDING ETIQUETTE

Standard club riding etiquette is encouraged. Loud and proud with your calls, avoid half wheeling and ramping up the pace. For the less confident rider, please let us know if you’re not experienced riding in a group or do not know the standard calls. We will help you get to grips with them.

Am I fit enough?

We cater for all levels of rider and, assuming you have a good base level of fitness, you will have no problems with the rides. We will ask you various questions in our pre-event questionnaire that will help us understand the type of rider you are and what type of riding you’re wanting to do over the weekend. We’re not concerned about your FTP. This is a Joyriding weekend.

WHAT ARE THE ACTIVITIES OUTSIDE OF RIDING?

Yoga, paddle-boarding, swimming, post-ride stretching and more. Non-riding guests are invited to join in all non-riding activities.

WHAT SHOULD I PACK FOR WHEN WE ARE NOT RIDING?

Evening attire is typically smart casual. Some of our drinks and dinners will be outside, so do pack accordingly. Do bring your swimwear so you can enjoy the pool and sea plus clothing for additional activities such as yoga, paddle boarding etc.

WHAT DO I WEAR ON THE RIDES?
