HOW DO I GET TO THERE?

The closest airports are Chalons Vatry Airport - 45 minutes drive, or Paris Charles De Gaulle - 2 hours drive.

Épernay train station is 15 minutes away or Reims is 40 minutes away, with connections to the Eurostar.

If taking  LeShuttle, it is a 3 hour 10 minutes drive from Calais to Loisium Wine & Spa Hotel Champagne.

We recommend looking at the event itinerary and booking your travel accordingly.  


WHEN DO I NEED TO ARRIVE?

Suggested arrival and event check-in is 1:00PM - 3:00PM on Thursday 20th June.  

Official hotel check-in is from 3:00PM, but some rooms may be available earlier. 

On arrival, you will be welcomed by a member of the LeBlanq team who will offer you a refreshing drink before being shown where to check-in for the event and the hotel. 

WHAT TIME DOES THE EVENT FINISH?

The event will finish from approximately 3:00PM on Sunday 23rd June. 

DO I NEED TO BRING MY BIKE?

We recommend bringing your own road bike. Alternatively you will have the option to hire a BIanchi bike directly from us, details of which will be provided soon.

Re-building and dismantling your bike from and into a bike box is your own responsibility. LeBlanq cannot be held liable for any damage to your bike. 

Please note; TT or Tri bars are not allowed for safety reasons.


CAN I HIRE A BIKE?

Yes, bike hire information will be provided in due course.

WHAT KIT DO YOU SUPPLY?

Riders will receive a Rapha x LeBlanq jersey, gilet and cap

Please bring any additional kit you may require such as extra jerseys, bib shorts, gloves, helmet, shoes and suitable clothing for all weather conditions.  

WHAT’S THE DRESS CODE?

Pre and post-ride and activities the dress code is very much a home-from-home relaxed weekend vibe. Feel free to dress in loungewear. Do bring swimwear for a dip in the pool and loose clothing for other activities.   

Elegant casual for evening. Bring a jacket or something warm to wear as we hope to host some parts outside. 

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY BIKE IS DELAYED?

In the rare event that your bike doesn't make the connecting flight, we will endeavour to help arrange a hire bike. We suggest you pack your essentials for riding in your hand luggage.

WILL THERE BE A MECHANIC TO FIX MY BIKE?

We’d like you to bring your road bike in good working order, and highly recommend a bike service before attending any LeBlanq event.  Our mechanics will be on hand to safety check your bike when you arrive, and should you need your bike repaired during a ride, our mechanics will aim to fix the problem. Any new parts will need to be paid for.

WHAT ELSE SHOULD I PACK?

For riders we suggest that you carry some key essentials in your hand luggage, such as your bike shoes, a change of clothes, bib shorts and essential medical supplies so your weekend is not affected in the unlucky situation that your luggage doesn't arrive. 

CAN I CHOOSE THE DISTANCE I RIDE?

Yes, you will be able to choose the speed and distance of your ride closer to the event.. 


DO I NEED TO TRAIN FOR THE RIDES?

No - we are all about Joyriding. 

However, a ride preparation plan will be provided as a guide to get you ready for the event. This is not a mandatory training plan but more to give an idea of the level of riding in the different groups. 

ARE RIDES SUPPORTED?

Yes. These rides are supported with a following vehicle that will carry spares, first aid kits, drinks and nutrition. There will be stops during the longer riders.

WHEN ARE GPX FILES SUPPLIED?

We will provide you with the GPX of the routes for your own reference before you arrive. Our experienced ride leaders and support crew will be with you, positioned at the front and back of each group, so that you can relax and just enjoy the ride. All rides are non-drop, so we constantly check all group members are within the group.

HOW BIG ARE THE RIDING GROUPS?

Our groups vary in numbers but most groups are max 10 riders, with a Ride Leader at the front and back.

I’D LIKE TO BRING A FRIEND OR PARTNER WHO DOESN’T RIDE. IS THAT OK?

Of course. We offer an optional wellness programme for our guests who aren’t riding, with activities such as e-bike wine tasting tours, yoga and hiking. There will be plenty of opportunities for riders and non-riders to spend time together as they come together for lunch, and then the afternoons and evenings.

IS THIS AN ADULT ONLY EVENT?

Our events are adult only, and the minimum age for bookings are 18.

I’M COMING ON MY OWN, WILL THERE BE OTHER SINGLE CYCLISTS?

Yes, many guests come on their own and leave having made new friends.

WHAT OCCUPANCY ARE THE ROOMS?

Single and double occupancy rooms are available. You will be asked your preference during the booking process. 

CAN I BOOK EXTRA NIGHTS?

Booking extra nights to stay before or after the event is a popular option with guests.  Please contact our concierge to enquire further.

WHAT INFORMATION AFTER BOOKING DO I RECEIVE?

You will receive pre-event questionnaires, so we can find out your key details such as dietary preferences, Rapha kit sizes, preferred riding distances and other essential information during the lead-up to the event. .  

Guest Information will be distributed pre-event which details everything you need to know to prepare you for the event. 

HOW DO I CANCEL MY BOOKING?

Should you change your mind, you have a 14 day cooling off period from the date of booking to claim back your deposit. Following the 14 days please refer to our cancellation policy HERE.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE EVENT IS CANCELLED OR POSTPONED?

Should we have to cancel or postpone the LeBlanq Champagne event, you will have a 14 day cooling off period from the announcement of the new date to request a full refund. After that point, your booking will be transferred to the new date.

DO YOU ACCOMMODATE DIETARY REQUIREMENTS?

Yes, of course. All dietaries allergies will be catered for, with adequate notice, just share the details once your booking is completed.

SHOULD I HAVE TRAVEL/MEDICAL INSURANCE?

Yes, all guests must have personal travel insurance to take part in the LeBlanq Champagne event. Please ensure that there is adequate cover for your travel, belongings including your bike, riding and other activities.  

IS THIS AN ENGLISH SPEAKING EVENT?

Yes.  All our experiences are in English, including the after dinner chat.
