LEBLANQ MASTER OF WINE

'Fine food and wine are core to LeBlanq experiences, so not unsurprisingly, we have curated an exciting selection of wines inspired by this year’s Tour route.

Despite the predominately southern bias three classic (GC) regions are represented, albeit one being Spanish. Playing the vital supporting roles (domestique) to the wines of Rioja, Bordeaux and Beaujolais are the two South West appellations Madiran and Saint Mont.

While hidden in the broom wagon is a fine grower champagne, but will it be Vingegaard or Pogacar we’ll be toasting as they head to the Champs-Elysées on July 23rd?'

THE WINE LIST

IN PARTNERSHIP WITH

Belezos Rioja Gran Reserva Bodegas Zugober 2013

Only produced in the best vintages, this is a salvo of ripe, dark fruit on the nose with rich, savoury notes of leather, tobacco, sweet spices and bramble fruits in the mouth.

Roc de Cambes 2014

François Mitjavile produces one of the Right Bank's comparative bargains. A fragrant perfumed nose, this is medium bodied & elegant but packs a gentle punch.

Moulin-a-Vent Clos du Moulin-a-Vent Monopole Domaine Labruyere 2017

This is a monopole (single vineyard). Dark fruits, melded seamlessly together, this is ripe, highlighting rich tannins. Drink it slightly chilled.

Crouseilles AOC Madiran 2015

This is a very open, approachable Madiran from an ancient Château that offers traditional power and structure with modern fruit and freshness. Silky on the mouth with rich ripe notes of blackcurrants, complimented by hints of fresh black pepper, cloves and cedar.

Cirque Nord AOC Saint Mont Producteurs Plaimont 2016

A blend of Petit Manseng, Gros Manseng and Petit Courbu, dry in style but displays a rich honeyed character. Touches of toast, spice and tannins come from the wood aging. The palate is intense, packed with juicy acidity and ripe white and yellow fruits. A rarity.

Champagne JM Labruyere Prologue Extra Brut NV

One of the best value Grand Cru grower champagne to be found anywhere. A go-to sparkler that never disappoints.
