Let our legends lead the way on a tour of the wilds of Norway, with Michelin-standard attention to detail applied to every part of your weekend. Here’s how the four days unfold.

THURSDAY BY 5PM

ARRIVE IN ÅLESUND

After a transfer to Hotel Brosundet, we'll let you settle into your surrounds with a glass of champagne.


STAGE 1 - THUR EVENING

TIME & PLACE

A three-course celebration of Norway’s best produce, led by one of the local region’s best chefs, Head Chef at Apotekergata No.5, Stig Roar Strømsvåg. Each course highlights the ingredients that make Nordic cuisine unique and the dishes are inspired by Stig's childhood memories of fishing, hunting and foraging. Drinks pairings will be provided by Laurent-Perrier’s Master of Wine.

STAGE 2 - FRI MORNING

JOYRIDE 01

Departing from Hotel Brosundet, we leave the city of Ålesund for your first taste of the fjords. This is a point to point ride that takes in the breathtaking roads of Syklyven and Stranda, before making our way to our final destination, the stunning Øye valley. Ride as hard or long as you like, with groups ranging from 50km to 125km.

STAGE 3 - FRI AFTERNOON

RECHARGE

Make yourself at home at our base for the next two nights - Hotel Union Øye - and then relax in luxury. Let our soigneurs soothe tired muscles with a massage, enjoy a refreshing dip in the waters of Norangsfjord, or grab a snack from the kitchen. This is your time to unwind.

STAGE 4 - FRI EVENING

TASTE OF THE WILD

Immerse yourself in the sights, sounds and flavours of Norwegian nature with an unforgettable dining experience made by Velochef's Henrik Orre and the chefs of Hotel Union Oye.

Henrik Orre spent five seasons on the road producing delicious meals for Team Sky, before becoming head chef at the Michelin 2-star Matbaren in Stockholm. Somehow, in between, he also found time to publish three cycling-specific Velochef cookbooks. 

STAGE 5 - SAT MORNING

JOYRIDE 02

The ultimate pleasure ride, side by side with our team of cycling legends. Taking in the stunning beauty of the Øye valley, your longest ride of the weekend is a loop that ranges from 70km or 155km, making some delicious stops along the way to taste some of the region’s best producers.

STAGE 6 - SAT AFTERNOON

RECHARGE

Return to Hotel Union and enjoy some rest and relaxation. Take a dip in the cool waters of Norangsfjord with your fellow joyriders, soothe those tired muscles again with a massage from our soigneurs, or just recline with a drink in the gardens.

STAGE 7 - SAT EVENING

TOUR DE FEAST

A 5-course homage to Nordic cycling culture by Scandinavia’s master of open fire cooking, Niklas Ekstedt. Celebrating Norwegian heritage through the flavours on your plate, this dinner also includes accompanied pairings by Champagne Laurent-Perrier.

STAGE 8 - SAT EVENING

TALES OF A RAINBOW JERSEY

Fireside chat with cycling legends, Edvald & Taylor, hosted by Adam Blythe. Unwind and enjoy stories from the tour, with accompanied whisky and wine tasting

Stage 9 - SUN MORNING

JOYRIDE 03

Your final ride of the weekend is shorter, more relaxing, but equally as beautiful. We take in the fjords for the last time in the saddle with a 45km ride covering the rest of Øye valley.



Stage 10 - SUN AFTERNOON

THE FINISH DINE

As you sail through Union Øye towards Ålesund, indulge in a family style feast prepared by local chefs aboard the Bruvik boat.
