DO I NEED TO BRING MY BIKE?

We encourage you to bring your own bike, but we do have a limited number of Bianchi Specialissima available to hire.

At checkout, please select your size and add this to your basket. Please arrive at 7:00AM if you are hiring a bike so there is enough time collect and fit it.

WILL THERE BE A MECHANIC TO FIX MY BIKE?

Please ensure your bike is fit for riding before you arrive. We suggest a bike service if you’ve not had one for a while. Please check your brakes, gears, and tyres. Should you need your bike repaired during the ride, our mechanics will aim to fix the problem. Any new parts will need to be paid for.

DO I NEED TO WEAR A HELMET?

Yes, always.

DO I NEED TO BRING ANYTHING FOR THE RIDES?

Please remember to bring a helmet, water bottles, a change of clothes, shoes and charged mobile phone. Rear lights are advisable for the more shaded parts of the routes.

If you are hiring a Bianchi Specialissma - please bring pedals with you.

RIDING ETIQUETTE

Standard club riding etiquette is encouraged. Loud and proud with your calls, avoid half wheeling and ramping up the pace. Group size will be restricted to ensure we don’t impact on other road users and make your experience the best possible one. For the less confident rider, please let us know if you’re not experienced riding in a group of 8 or do not know the standard calls.  We will help you get to grips with them.

WILL YOU ACCOMMODATE DIETARY REQUIREMENTS?

Yes, of course. All allergies will be catered for, just share the details with our concierge.

WHAT HAPPENS POST-RIDE?

Our ride will finish back at the Fairmont Windsor Park.

You will then have the opportunity to shower and change, make use of the Fairmont Spa and Wellness facility (spa treatments incur an additional fee).

Lunch will be served in MOREISH Restaurant before the “Tales from the Pitch & the Pave talk”.

The day should conclude by approximately 5:00PM

WILL YOU PROVIDE GPX/STRAVA FILES?

We will provide you with the GPX and Strava files of the routes for your own reference before you arrive. Our experienced ride leaders and support crew will be with you, positioned at the front and back of each group, so that you can relax and just enjoy the ride. All rides are non-drop, so we constantly check all group members are within the group.

WHICH RIDING DISTANCE IS SUITABLE FOR ME?

You will be asked what distance you would like to ride as we get closer to the event. The more you tell us about your ability, the better the ride.

Distances will range from 50km to 110km.
